Introduction
GPAbridge ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use GPAbridge:
- Account information (name, email address) when you sign up via Clerk authentication
- Academic data you enter (grades, CGPA values) for conversion and calculation purposes
- Usage data such as conversion history stored in your account
- Payment information processed securely through Polar.sh (we do not store payment details)
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our grade conversion and calculation services
- Generate academic reports you purchase
- Maintain your conversion history and account preferences
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services including Clerk for authentication, Convex for data storage, Polar.sh for payment processing, and Vercel for hosting. Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.
Payment Processing (Flutterwave)
PDF report downloads require a one-time payment processed by Flutterwave, a third-party payment processor. When you make a payment, Flutterwave collects your card or payment details directly and securely. We receive only a transaction reference and status — we never store your full card details. Flutterwave's privacy policy applies to all payment data: flutterwave.com/us/privacy-policy.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on GPAbridge. Google uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other sites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by its Privacy Policy.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use GPAbridge. Google Analytics collects data such as page views, session duration, and device type using cookies. This data is aggregated and anonymised — we cannot identify individual users from it. You can opt out by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Cookies
GPAbridge uses essential cookies for authentication (via Clerk) and functional cookies for preferences (e.g., theme, language). Third-party services (Google AdSense, Google Analytics, Flutterwave) may also set their own cookies as described in their respective privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect site functionality.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
